Nats Parking Problems Solved?

Thursday, February 28, 2008

For someone who lives in the general area of Nat’s games parking problems, I think the Mayors idea of two-hour parking limits or residents-only parking restrictions in and around the stadium would work. However, is this really going to be enforced? Most games that will cause parking problems will start after 6:00pm and parking enforcement will be home sipping on beers. So why waste DC money on something that is just for show. DC has a lot of places to look at. We don’t need more parking signs. In other Parking news, Metro may lease space to the Nationals.

What really needs to be done is to encourage people to take the Metro. Make the fares half price if you get off at Navy Yard or something. If you don’t give people an incentive to take the Metro then they wont.
