The Pope takes on Reagan

Thursday, April 17, 2008

Metro is planning for one of the busiest days in history. If it can happen the Pope may be the one behind it. Currently the record is held by Ronald Reagan. Reagan brought in 850,636 riders for his State Funeral back in 2004. This year metro has already topped the charts (top 10) with

  • 04-11-08 828,132 Hockey/Baseball/Cherry Blossoms and
  • 04-09-08 801,370 Baseball/Basketball/Soccer/Cherry Blossoms

You can check out the foot traffic for yourself by taking a look at the closest d. traffic camera to Nationals Park. We should know tomorrow the results of metro ridership. Good luck Metro and Metro Riders with your morning commute today!
