We thought maybe yesterday that the Pope could set a Metro rider record but it looks like he has failed to take the top spot.  Not even close!  Yesterday’s total number of riders was 828,418.  That’s good enough for 3rd place and about 22,218 riders short of the Reagan State Funeral.  See the Top 10  Busiest Days in Metro History .
