David Catania’s Bright Idea!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Now here is the smartest thing that I have seen lately.  DC Council member David Catania wants to increase the sales tax on tickets and most items sold at Nationals Park.  The reason, because low attendance.  Gee I wonder why the Nationals are seeing low attendance.  Could it be that it’s sort of expensive to go to the park and see a losing team?  This would increase the tax rate at the stadium from 10% to 15%. The worst part about it is that the legislation already has 7 co-sponsors.  This needs to be stoped now before it becomes law.  It’s not the residents and fans problem that the City made major mistakes and doesn’t want to take the burden of there mistakes.  Don’t pass your mistakes on to the fans, take responsibility for your actions.
