Capitol Slobs on a Dirty Sunday

Monday, August 11, 2008

On Saturday groups from many different faiths held a peace festival (Global Peace Festival) West Lawn of the Capitol.  On beautiful Sunday morning (10am) I took a walk on the National Mall and the US Capitol.  I was shocked to see mounds of trash spread all over the grounds of the Capitol.  It was very unattractive especially when there were hundreds of people taking pictures. Imagine when they go home and show there friends and relatives. Imagine what those people would think?  You would think that The Architect of the Capitol would clean up after these events to make the grounds look attractive for the next days tourists.  I was very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the Capitol on Sunday morning and was embarrassed to call that building the voice of the people. It makes use all look like slobs.
