There may not be many hotel’s available for inauguration weekend but there still is space in DC. Yesterday I got an email from Capitol Riverfront BID announcing that two newly built apartment buildings, Axiom and the Jefferson at Capitol Yards, just blocks from the U.S. Capitol will be renting out fully furnished 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.

Furnished one and two bedroom apartments in JPI’s Jefferson and Axiom at Capitol Yards will be rented out for the Inauguration. Only a short, 7-minute walk from Capitol Hill South metro, the apartments provide access to 24-hour concierge service, first-class gym facilities, garage parking, and free wi-fi in common areas. One-bedrooms are $750/night and two-bedrooms are $1000/night, with a three night minimum stay.

The price is a little expensive but you are literally a 7 min walk to the Capitol building, No more no less, I do it every day!  This means no need to crowd on the jammed metro!
