Christmas Season in DC

Well Thanksgiving is over and everyone is headed back into the city. For me it is a drive from Syracuse, New York that should only take 7 hours but I’m thinking today it will be longer. Tomorrow starts a long couple of weeks of work, shopping, and Christmas parties. Oh yeah, who can forget the upcoming inauguration too. I mean the supposed 5 Million people that are going to be here will definitely take a front seat in many peoples minds as the week of January 20th 2009 inches closer. DC MPD also has a nice Christmas present for everyone. 11 brand spanking new speed trap cameras. They come equipped with $30 to $200 fines! (see locations)
So in the spirit of the Christmas season here are some cool things that you should check out in DC.
- Zoo Lights at the National Zoo
- National Christmas Tree and the Pageant of PeaceĀ 2008 (needed tickets but go see the tree!)
- Christmas in Georgetown
- Go see the Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center.
- Check out a Holiday Concert
- See the National Hanukkah Menorah lighting
I will be putting more of these events in the Calendar of Events this week.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
