Thanks for the interest. We haven't formulated a full-on plan for our twitter presence yet, though it is something I want to do soon. I want to interact with people in DC on twitter, listen to what people are saying about the library, entertain people with fun library information and possibly even help people solve some of their information needs. It could be a great way to offer the library's expert research services to the digital set.

We've had a pretty decent number of people follow the account without much advertisement, so it'll be interesting to see what happens!

Aaron,
It's so cool that parts of the DC Government is on twitter. I know that @DCRA is another agency that is on. How are you guys using twitter? Do you offer any services other than support?

Hey! If you want a bit more background, I'm the one communicating with people via twitter for the DCPL. My name is Aaron and I'm the Digital Initiatives Librarian for the DCPL.

Thanks for the tweet!
