Inauguration Buses far less than Predicted?

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

With only 5 days to the inauguration and 1 day left to get a bus permit you can start to see more tourist in the district. Yesterday I heard on WJLA 6pm news that only 2,000 buses have actually applied and received bus permits, far less than the 10,000 that DC Officials had said would come. I highly doubt that 8,000 buses will be permitted in 24hrs but I guess it could happen. Maybe Mayor Fenty will come out today and reduce the number of buses that will be here kind of like he did when he randomly tossed out the 5 million people number. We should have a final bus number tomorrow night.
