Eisenhower Executive Office Building: Smoke on 2nd Floor

Monday, January 26, 2009

What happens when you try to light the fireplace in a building that was built in 1888?  All the fire trucks in DC respond, especially when its the Eisenhower Executive Office Building which is an arms reach from the White House.  Obama staff was working on the weekend and decided to start a fire since it was cold out.  Moments later smoke filled the room and the fire department was called.  No one was injured and nothing was damaged.  The fireplace that was trying to be started was on the second floor.
