I have to give a shout out to the Federal Government [Capitol Hill Crew] and Metro [Capitol South] for the best sidewalks at 6:45am! All other sidewalks are crap. Many on Independence Ave between 2nd St and 6th St SE are all iced over. Even in front of Starbucks, Firehook, Bank of America, and other popular spots at 7am. Don’t ever let anyone tell you the Federal Government is Lazy ;-)

Your best bet is to walk in the roads. They are all clear of Ice! safety

    Most of the sidewalks around the commercial and Federal buildings are good. The ones around the parks are still slick and slippery. And watch out for those ramps!
