Four store front designs later and DC still doesn’t have a Apple store! It’s not Apple’s fault it’s the Georgetown architectural review board that keeps sending them back to the drawing table. It’s really kind of sad that the board has not approved any of the designs they have submitted.
My suggestion to Apple is to forget Georgetown! Stop wasting your money creating architectural renderings. The board obviously doesn’t want a Apple store to be in Georgetown. Let them suffer on what they could have had and what they will miss. Why not build a place on Capitol Hill, Adams Morgan, or Downtown? People will come to your store no matter where it is in DC and you wont have to face all those yuppies running Georgetown. Trust me, we do it now by going to Virginia! So lets get the show on the road and move out of Georgetown. For get what all those realtor’s say about location, location, location.

It’s not about zoning — it’s the work of that schemer, Bill Gates.
Couldn’t agree more; another drawback is that Georgetown isn’t that metro accessible (again due to the town’s short-sighted snobbiness.)
Anywhere but Georgetown, ugh.
