It was a bad day for Metro yesterday. In the morning the orange line was messed up because of a derailment of a vacuum truck. Trains had to single track between Foggy Bottom and clerendon which caused one hour rush hour delays. Once the machine was back on the tracks and on its way back to the train yard it derailed again around 2pm. Then last night an empty train traveling on the yellow line derailed at Mt. Vernon Sq. It simply was not a good day for metro yesterday but they can be happy that no one got hurt!
