Welcome to “Living in the District“, a blog about what the title says.  Our goal is to bring attention to stories that people are interested in.  Many people turn on the TV and listen to the local news where they hear the same old stories day in and day out.  Here at Living in the District we try to focus on the stories that are out of the news ones on the second and third pages of the paper but also bring in popular ones too!  We have also started a new section that focuses on things to do in DC.  Washington has a vast amount of museums, memorials, and historical sites so why not let people know about them.  We hope that visitors from all over the world will come to the site to plan what there day, week, month, however long there stay may be with our Things to Do section.

Our site is growing and will only get better with a little help from you, the visitors and loyal readers.  Please, if you have something to say comment on a story or topic.  We are open to anything, isn’t that what a blog is all about?  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about the site and don’t want to post a comment feel free to contact me at farrelley [at] livinginthedistrict [dot] com.

Thanks and Enjoy!
